I love this introductory project because it is a very quick, easy and effective way to get to know my new class of art students. Welcome G6 Q3

Once again, we began with our digital sketchbook covers. The students took selfies from interesting angles using MovieFX, then they added the photo into Wordfoto. This allowed the students to enter words that described themselves and their interests. They then drew their names using  graffiti. All the images were merged together in Superimpose. I love how... Grade 9 Foundations 1: Value Drawing

LEARNING ABOUT VALUE We began the quarter be studying different ways artists create value. The students practised value scales and a variety of toning techniques from stippling, shading to lettering. Splash & Dash Endangered Animal G8

The grade 8 students have had a sensational start to the year. They began by learning how to truly see their animal. They created blind, negative space, contour and gesture drawings of their animals.
