The chair expo was a HUGE success in a beautiful location. If you missed the expo you can view the chairs in the front office, and during the art party on May 18th.
You can read about the whole process in this post.
Once the Sculptures Were Complete.
We photographed the chairs, uploaded them to Artsonia, annotated them in Skitch, evaluated them in Google Docs and created a presentation poster in Pages. In Skitch the students had to label and explain where they applied all the elements of sculpture.
We talked about tips and tricks to making an effective poster with Pages. The students had to consider balance, focal point, alignment, contrast and typography. This was a great addition to our learning.
These posters were put on display with the chairs in the expo. Thank you to everyone who made the effort to come out and show an interest in the student’s work. As I said before please visit them in the front office and at the art exhibit on May 18th.
