Crazy Hair in Grade 6

My grade 6 class has been working hard on these fun “Crazy Hair Portraits”. The students were asked to apply the rules of portraiture to the face and use their creativity for the hair. I am so pleased with what they have created as there has been huge development from their first drawings to their final piece. The students have learned how to overlap shapes, balance colours, fill spaces with patterns and how to create a focal point through size and contrast.
