This was a very successful project inspired from this computer animation that I found on Pinterest: I thought it would be a brilliant way for the students to develop tonal skills whilst developing their creative ideas. To successfully complete this task they had to practise a tonal scale, toned shapes and a toned light bulb. Then they generated 4 creative ideas which could go inside the bulb these were presented to the class and discussed. The students brainstormed the assessment criteria and then worked very hard on creating these gorgeous light bulbs.
If we had more time it would be brilliant to paint on real light bulbs. Overall I think the students were very happy with their work. You can certainly see their current influences and interests through this task! Well done grade 7.
