The 2013 IB Art Exhibition & Cultural Evening comprises of the studio artwork of Lincoln Community School’s 7 IB Visual Arts students. The IB Visual Arts class is a student-directed course designed to encourage an active exploration of visual arts within students’ own and other cultural contexts. Students are encouraged to develop a critical and intensely personal view of themselves in relation to the world. The body of studio work represented in this exhibition demonstrates the practical exploration, the artistic production, and the independent contextual, visual, and critical investigations of our students. The exhibit is a culmination of two years of investigation and studio work. Materials used in the production of these pieces include watercolor, acrylic and oil paints, charcoal, chalk, plaster, ink, photography, and found objects. Come enjoy a night filled of art and culture at the Alliance Francaise.
I can’t wait to see this. Good Luck IB students.
