We have just had our second trimester exhibition but this time I have put boards around the new middle school building, in the NPAT, outside and inside the library. The hardest thing with displaying work at LCS is keeping it safe from the weather. So I have turned the library into a mini gallery and have put framed work all around the school. It is a brilliant time to go for an “art walk” around the school. Not to mention we have cards for sale in the shop and the art is playing on all the TVs around the school.
I have also created a QR code for this site. I hung them around the school. Surprisingly it has had quite a response from my grade 6 class as they are installing the free QR reader on their phones so that they can easily access the website with a quick scan. It is AWESOME. (That is something I learnt from the Texas conference.)
Next I will create one for Artsonia so that the students can write about their works in the online museum. I will give you some updates about Artsonia soon as it is an incredible site which shares the student’s work with all their family and friends world wide, very exciting.
