On Saturday I went to an amazing art exhibition at the Nubuke Foundation in East Legon and thought I should share it with you all. I would HIGHLY recommend going and have a look. It has an amazing display of paintings, sculpture, doors, flags, masks and so much more. It will certainly inspire you to collect art.
This is what Nubuke Foundations says about the exhibition:
“Florence Benson has been supporting many artists for over 40 years and what an insight her collection gives us! Comparable to a national collection, it rightly chronicles the history of Ghana’s contemporary art practice over this time.
Made up of paintings, printings, sculpture, carvings, her collection includes other art forms from Ife and Benin city spanning centuries of tradition from Nigeria and other the West Africa region. Artists include Amon Kotei, Ablade Glover, Ini Brown, Ato Delaquis, Bruce Onobrakpeya, A. O. Bartimeus, George Hughes, David Dale and others.
The exhibition will run at Nubuke Foundation till November 10.“
